GSWParis 2022 will welcome leaders of Sport’s positive transformation

Global Sports Week Paris is the privileged meeting place for committed actors and organizations to take a stand to foster sports positive transformation and establish a more innovative and sustainable future for sport.

Next year, after two successful editions in iconic locations of the French capital, GSWParis will once again bring together a broad coalition of leaders and change-makers from sport, business and society.

From March 7-11th 2022, the new multi-country event will be held physically in Paris and digitally around the world, along with regional gatherings. Organisers will launch a new high-performance digital platform to improve delegates’ experience all around the world. The event will feature purpose-driven debates, inspirational talks, impactful pitches, and exclusive announcements from its participants and partners, as well as many networking and meeting opportunities.

The Accor Arena, an exceptional venue to host the global sports ecosystem

The Accor Arena, official competition venue of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will provide the central stage of the forum, as Paris will remain the event’s epicenter.

After investing the Louvre in 2020 and the Eiffel Tower in 2021, the new landmark was selected as part of GSW’s global strategy to put Paris at the forefront of the sports’ international ecosystem.

The emblematic musical, arts and sports venue is one of the top five arenas in the world. The Accor Arena hosts some of the world’s renowned events and offers a unique and modular setting of 12,000 square meters. With over 130 programmed events each season, the venue will leverage its global expertise to support GSW’s ambition: provide a powerful, spectacular and enhanced experience to its delegates.

A common will to reinforce Paris international influence

This collaboration between GSW and the Accor Arena reflects a shared ambition to promote France’s attractiveness, and reinforce its position as a privileged destination for sports and entertainment.

While the country is getting ready to host major sporting events in the upcoming years, Paris is soon to become the world capital of sports for the next few years.

In this perspective, Accor Arena and GSW aim to build a long-term relationship and develop many opportunities for decision-makers and actors of change of the global sports ecosystem to come together.

Lucien Boyer, Co-Founder and President of Global Sports Week, said:

We are delighted to collaborate with Accor Arena and to be able to organize the third edition of Global Sports Week Paris in this French iconic sport & entertainment venue. This is a very special place which has reinvented itself many times along the years and will be central to the Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic games.

After a special edition in 2021 at the Eiffel tower last year, we are very much looking forward to gathering again the Global Sports Week community and offering a new and different experience”.

Nicolas Dupeux, Managing Director of Accor Arena, said:

‘At Accor Arena, sports have always been part of our DNA. We have hosted the most iconic sporting events: tennis, handball, volleyball, track and field, and basketball, including the only international NBA match. And we will soon welcome the Olympic and Paralympic Games during Paris 2024. Thus, it is a great pleasure and honor to host Global Sports Week, a natural collaboration as we share the same values and passion for sports.’
