What is Global Sports Week

Global Sports Week is the rendez-vous for leaders shaping the future of sport.
Known for its innovative formats and diverse audience, GSW brings together leaders and disruptors from sport, business, culture, media, government and society. Its agenda is focused on the future of sport at the intersection of business and society.
GSW is a platform and a privileged meeting place for influence, inspiration and business – which consists of:
► GSWParis: An annual international forum in the future host city of the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, organized under the High Patronage of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and the Patronage of UNESCO.

What are the GSWParis hubs ?

During GSWParis 2021, in addition to the central event and studio in Paris, five future Olympic and Paralympic host cities – Tokyo, Beijing, Milan, Dakar and Los Angeles – hosted shorter one-day events (in respect with local sanitary measures) or virtual gatherings. These events were connected to the central hub in Paris, and local panel discussions broadcasted live globally – via the GSWParis digital platform.

What is the GSWFactory ? How can I have access to it ?

GSW Factory is a membership-only platform with preferential access to original and exclusive content from leading industry stakeholders and the GSW community; unique engagement and networking tools; and other exclusive opportunities and benefits. Membership is included with GSWParis 2021 Classic and Pro tickets, and yearly subscriptions are now open to all. GSWFactory membership grants automatic access to GSWParis 2022’s digital platform.

The GSW Factory is accessible since September 2021.

What is the Future of Sport?

Viva Technology and Global Sports Week are partnering to create Future of Sport, a gathering dedicated to the positive transformation of sport.

Future of Sport is the newest theme at VivaTech that will take over Hall 2. The new space will showcase the biggest brands, organizations, companies and startups leading Sport Tech and positive impact innovation. The sport industry is valued at more than $800 billion worldwide, and is being flooded by investors who have spotted massive opportunities in key areas: Performance, Well Being, In-Venue Technology, Sustainability, Fan Experience, E-Sport and more. Just months away from the Rugby World Cup and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, join Future of Sport at VivaTech to discover the hottest innovations, generate leads and shape the Future of Sport.

The new space is a perfect extension of the VivaTech main hall, connecting our tech ecosystem to the sporting world. This year, VivaTech welcomes Global Sports Week to connect sport industry leaders shaping a purpose-driven, sustainable and inclusive future for sport while leading a top-notch conference program on the stage of hall 2.

Where is GSWParis held ?

Since its first edition, GSWParis has invested iconic locations of the French capital.

In Paris, the world capital of sport for the next few years, GSWParis offers a space for inspiration, influence and business in a unique atmosphere of culture and entertainment.

In February 2020, the inaugural edition of Global Sports Week gathered over 2000 leaders from across the global ecosystem of sport, at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

The second edition of GSWParis took place from February 1st to 5th, 2021 with a new format mixing physical and digital experiences.

The world-first multi-country forum dedicated to Sport included a central event and studio in Paris at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and continental hubs in the five other future Olympic host cities: Tokyo, Beijing, Dakar, Milan and Los Angeles. All hubs were connected live via a groundbreaking virtual platform developed for the event, and accessible worldwide.

From June 14 to 17, 2023, at Paris Porte de Versailles, Future of Sport will bring together all the actors engaged in the positive transformation of sport, as well as leaders in innovation, tech and business, in a dedicated space of over 9,000m².

What is on the GSWParis program ?

Future of Sport is an international forum that will be held on June 14, 15 and 16 in English and on June 17 in French.

How is Future of Sport programm structured ?

In order to go beyond the traditional issues of sport business and offer a federating event to the entire ecosystem, the Future of Sport program is built around 9 major ‘streams’, each illustrating a fundamental aspect of transformation that sport must confront: 

Performance & wellbeing, fan engagement, e-Sport & virtual sports, women & sport, sport accessibility, living better together, sport events reinvented, purpose driven sponsorship, sustainability

These streams structure the reflections, in order to make the discourses evolve, create innovative partnerships, and, above all, find together multilateral and impactful solutions for the future of sport.

What is Future of Sport program ?
