GSWPARIS 2020

In 2020, GSW Paris was launched as the first international forum for sport in France.

Over the span of 3 days, the inaugural edition of Global Sports Week Paris gathered over 2,000 leaders from across the global ecosystem of sport, at the Carrousel du Louvre.

With a new, unique positioning between business and society, the forum was structured under the theme :

« Making business with purpose: For a more innovative and sustainable future for sport ».

GSWPARIS 2022

After two long years, more than 2,000 key actors from the world of sport came back together in their new global capital, in an intimate and convivial setting at the Accor Arena – Paris’ most iconic indoor arena, a venue for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The third edition centred on two days of in-person events in Paris and Los Angeles, as well as a wealth of additional digital and offsite events worldwide, accessible via our digital platform around the week.

In total, 20,000 digital participants coming from 98 countries attended the events in Paris, Los Angeles and online, centred around 1 key theme – Better VS Bigger: Growing sport in the age of responsibility.

JEC WORLD SPORTS SUMMIT 2024

On March 7, 2024, in collaboration with the JEC World – the leading international exhibition dedicated to composites and their application – we organized a day dedicated to sports and composites. The event highlighted how these innovative materials are redefining performance in 18 Olympic and Paralympic sports, from sailing to archery, thanks to their lightness, resilience and performance.

The program covered various aspects of composites in sport, including their role in optimized performance, their use as a laboratory for innovation, and their impact on equipment for Paralympic sports. ESG criteria and applications in water sports were also discussed. The event illustrated the technological advances and concrete innovations that are shaping the future of sport.

GSWPARIS 2021

In 2021, wishing to strengthen its international dimension, but conscious of the environmental and health issues linked to the organization of a global event, GSW adapted to the situation by creating an innovative, hybrid-format event. It thus became the first multi-country forum for Sport in the world: both physical and digital – with a presence in continental hubs in all 6 future Olympic host cities – Paris (central studio at the top of the Eiffel Tower), Tokyo, Beijing, Milan, Dakar and Los Angeles.

Over 20,000 visitors connected to the digital platform created for the forum, which was structured around the highly-relevant theme : « Reinvention in action! ».

FUTURE OF SPORT 2023

In 2023, we teamed up with Viva Technology to create Future of Sport, a gathering dedicated to the positive transformation of sport.

With a dedicated space showcasing the biggest brands, organizations, companies and startups leading Sport Tech and positive impact innovation, Future of Sport has connected sport industry leaders shaping a purpose-driven, sustainable and inclusive future for sport. A 4-days top-notch conference program adressed the major challenges currently facing sport, featuring 80 sessions, led by over 200 internationally renowned speakers and experts.

Future of Sport took place during a record-breaking edition of VivaTech, with 150,000 visitors over the week.

UNITED BY SPORTS FORUM 2024

On July 25, 2024, we partnered with Sport dans la Ville – France’s leading NGO for social inclusion through sport, to organize the “UNITED BY SPORTS FORUM” at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris. The event, scheduled a day before the Olympic Games opening ceremony, highlighted initiatives for social inclusion and gender equality through sport.
The Forum brought together key players in sport, international institutions, NGOs and athletes, while highlighting the voices of Young Leaders to share their experiences and build a better future through sport. This event took place in the frame of the FESTIVAL 24, a Sport dans la Ville initiative that gathered over 500 young people from across the world in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
