GLOBAL SPORTS WEEK PARIS ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR 2022 FORUM AS SUPPORTER BASE GROWS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    Originally scheduled from March 7-11th, the event will now take place from May 9th-13th 2022 <\/strong>in order to guarantee the important international dimension of the annual forum.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The decision has been taken in light of the current global health context<\/strong> and a number of short-term travel restrictions in place at the start of the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/span><\/p>\n

    Around 2,000 delegates<\/strong> from around the world<\/strong> are expected to attend the two-days of in-person events at the Accor Arena in Paris on May 10th-11th<\/strong>, with thousands more participating virtually throughout the week.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Held under the high patronage of Mr Emmanuel Macron,<\/strong> President of the French Republic, GSW is France\u2019s first international sports forum<\/strong> and a key pillar in the French government\u2019s strategy to grow France\u2019s influence and attractiveness in sports in the context of upcoming major sports events including Rugby World Cup France 2023, FIS World Championships Courchevel-M\u00e9ribel 2023 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

    GSW gathers key actors from across the global sports ecosystem and connects them with leaders of international youth, business and society to explore the future of sport through the lens of social change.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The programme is co-created together with a broad coalition of international partner organisations, headlined by Founding Partners adidas and the French Ministry in charge of Sports .<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/span>Today, <\/span>World Athletics<\/b> and <\/span>Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)<\/b> have been unveiled as the latest official \u2018Proud Supporters\u2019 of GSW.
