GLOBAL SPORTS WEEK REVEALS STRENGTHENED FRENCH GOVERNMENT SUPPORT WITH 100 DAYS TO GO UNTIL ANNUAL FORUM<\/h2>\n

New tripartite agreement with French Ministry of Sport and Government\u2019s Interministerial Delegation for Major Events (DIGES) extends commitment to 2024<\/h4>\n

With 100 days to go to the 2022 edition, Global Sports Week (GSW) has announced the signing of a new tripartite agreement with France\u2019s Ministry of Sport and the French Government\u2019s Interministerial Delegation for Major Events (DIGES).<\/p>\n

The partnership\u00a0strengthens the French Government\u2019s commitment to GSW,\u00a0extending its support to 2024 in the\u00a0context of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. It builds on the French Ministry of Sport\u2019s previous support for GSW, of which it has served as a Founding Partner since the first edition in 2020.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> three-year agreement<\/b> was officially signed yesterday by <\/span>Roxana Maracineanu<\/b>, France\u2019s Minister in charge of sports, and<\/span> Lucien Boyer<\/b>, President of Global Sports Week, in the presence of <\/span>Jean-Pierre Siutat<\/b>, vice-<\/span>president in charge of international strategy, of the French National <\/span>Olympic and Sport Committee (CNOSF).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The signature took place at the French Ministry in charge of Sports<\/strong> during the first meeting of the\u00a0CFSI<\/strong> (coordination du sport fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l\u2019International) committee, which was launched last month as part of a new strategy to grow France\u2019s international influence and attractiveness<\/strong> in sport as the country gets ready to host the Alpine Ski World Cup 2023, RWC 2023 and Paris 2024 Games.<\/p>\n

Support for\u00a0GSW was among 16 strategic priorities\u00a0announced in the latest DIGES report in October 2021<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Today\u2019s announcement materializes this commitment and additionally\u00a0confirms the return of Le Tremplin Invest Finals to Global Sports Week<\/strong>. The sportstech showcase – Europe\u2019s biggest, connecting the world\u2019s best start-ups to international investors<\/strong> \u2013 is organised by Le Tremplin by Paris&Co innovation platform and France\u2019s Ministry in charge of Sport in partnership with Global Sports Week.<\/span><\/p>\n

The iconic Accor Arena \u2013 an official competition venue of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games \u2013 will provide the central stage of this year\u2019s forum, supported by additional digital and overseas events.<\/span><\/p>\n
